
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Five people are hospitalized in a mass shooting in Lawndale on the West Side early Saturday morning.
All five were hit by bullets as they stood outside near 14th Street and Tripp Avenue shortly after midnight.
Chicago police said someone in a black Nissan fired at the group. A 34-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in fair condition. A 25-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman took themselves to the hospital and are in good condition. A 22-year-old man was hit in the shoulder and a 37-year-old man was shot in the back and backside. They’re in good condition.
Police found at least 8 shell casings at the scene. They are Chicago police are looking for whoever shot five people early this morning in Lawndale.
