The man’s body was discovered in the Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve by Highland Park police, who were called to the 0–100 block of Cliff Road in Highland Park — located along the shore of Lake Michigan — about 5:10 a.m.

Due to injuries on the man’s body, the Lake County Major Crimes Task Force has been called in to assist the Lake County Forest Preserve Police in the investigation.

A Lake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said that there are no indications of a threat to the community.
