CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - There were no injuries in a fire in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Wednesday night but it was touch-and-go for a short time for firefighters.

The Fire Department said there was one person living in the house in the 3300 block of West Pierce when fire broke out Wednesday night. The man got out safely.

Part of the frame house collapsed while firefighters were inside it but they all made it out without being hurt.

The Fire Department said the house was damaged so badly by fire it was declared condemned and was torn down.
