After more than nine decades, the iconic Blue Goose Market in downtown St. Charles will soon close.
The Daily Herald said the owner had been in discussions with a prominent Chicago area grocer, but those talks stalled. But there's word some 10 other grocers may be interested.
News of the store's closure began circulating on social media earlier this week, leaving some shoppers disappointed. The original Blue Goose opened in 1928, and moved several times as it grew.
