CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Monday, Sept. 21 marks a special day at WBBM Newsradio, said WBBM Newsradio Brand Manager Ron Gleason.
"Incredible as it may sound, a young Leon Colvin walked through the doors of the CBS building on McClurg court for his first day of work on September 21, 1970," Gleason said. "Over the last 50 years, Leon has worked pretty much every shift imaginable as both a writer and editor. Every step of the way he has displayed the integrity and journalistic ethics for which we all strive. We thank him for his news judgement, his leadership, his camaraderie and his contributions to the station’s success."
