WATCH: Several Lincoln Park residents alarmed after security camera captures armed robbery of 70-year-old woman in broad daylight

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Some Lincoln Park residents have had enough of the street robberies.

The latest incident is the armed robbery of a 70-year-old woman who was walking a dog.
It happened at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Webster and Lakewood.

A security camera captured the moment when a car pulled up, a man got out and pointed a gun at the woman and took her purse.

It’s not the first time David Hussar’s camera has recorded a crime.
He spoke to CBS-2.

“It’s like a live crime feed. It’s ridiculous, and this is Lincoln Park. This is a nice neighborhood, it used to be a nice neighborhood, but it’s not safe,” Hussar said.

His camera also recorded the robbery and shooting of Dakotah Early in May.
He’s the culinary arts student who’s recovering after he was shot multiple times.

“It’s just an inhumane, horrific act,” Ald. Brian Hopkins told CBS-2.

Hopkins said the neighborhood is being targeted by armed criminals.
