Macy’s is closing its store on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
A spokesperson tells Crain’s Chicago Business that closing the store at Water Tower Place is part of a larger strategy to shrink its footprint nationwide.
The retailer was hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic and looting sprees last summer.
The Macy’s Water Tower Place location will start a closeout sale later this month. It’s expected to last several weeks.
