CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 19-year-old man inside of a rideshare car was shot and killed in Little Italy on the Near West Side Sunday.
Chicago police said officers were called to Rush University Medical Center, where a rideshare driver had driven their passenger after a shooting that happened minutes earlier.
It happened on West Taylor Street near Throop Street shortly before 9 p.m. Authorities said the 19-year-old man was inside of the rideshare car as a passenger when someone walked up to the vehicle and shot him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. The shooter ran away.
So far, no one has been arrested. Area Three detectives are investigating.
