Man fatally stabbed on CTA bus

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police were questioning someone after a man was fatally stabbed on a CTA bus Friday in Chatham on the South Side.

The 67-year-old got into an argument with a male suspect while traveling on a CTA bus about 4:30 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago police said.

The male pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the chest, police said.

He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. He hasn’t been identified.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
