ANTIOCH (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Antioch Police are investigating a murder that occurred Monday night.
Police responded to a report of gunshots on Main Street. A witness who heard the shots said they came from an apartment. Police then went in and found a 42-year-old man dead. Nobody else was there.
They said the person or persons who committed the crime had gotten away before officers arrived and the murder appear to be “a targeted, isolated incident.”
The Lake County Major Crimes Task Force is assisting with the investigation.
Anyone who heard or saw anything at around 11 p.m. on the Main near Ida is asked to contact police or leave anonymous tips with Lake County Crimestoppers.
