(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A former Antioch man was sentenced to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to threatening two Lake County judges in connection with his divorce, authorities said.

Grayson Kash Jackson, 44, pleaded guilty this week to two counts of threatening a public official and received the four-year sentence from a judge in DuPage County, where the case was handled to avoid conflicts of interest.

In October 2021, Jackson allegedly called Lake County Illinois sheriff’s officials to voice displeasure with a ruling in his pending divorce case. Jackson intimated that two judges would find themselves dead and buried, according to information provided by the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, which prosecuted the case.

Jackson was arrested in Arkansas and extradited to Illinois, where he had been held pending trial.

“Anyone who threatens a public official must be held accountable. Mr. Jackson went much too far expressing his displeasure with the court,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said.
