
MARENGO, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- OSHA is investigating an incident Thursday that left a man with life-threatening burns at a manufacturing company in Marengo.
Firefighters were called to Arnold Magnetic Technologies on West Street for what was called a commercial structure fire.
They found that a man, who was an employee, had been burned by molten metal. The fire department said a “liquid metal explosion occurred inside a machine.”
The man was critically injured. He was taken to St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
