
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man is hospitalized after being shot by police Friday night on the far south side.
A statement from police said officers responded to a disturbance involving a man with a gun at about 5:30 p.m. at 112th Street and Langley Avenue in the Pullman neighborhood.
The man pointed a hand gun at the officers and they shot him, according to the statement.
Police said the officers immediately gave him first aid. They said they recovered two handguns and a knife from the man, who was hospitalized in serious condition.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating the incident and the officers will be doing administrative duty for 30 days.
