
An argument between passengers on a CTA Blue Line train turned violent overnight with one man being stabbed and the other under arrest.
The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. Monday near the Irving Park stop, when a verbal argument broke out between a 50-year-old man and a man believed to be in his 30s.
At some point during the argument, the younger man allegedly attempted to stab the older man with a sharp object. The older man tried to pull the object away but suffered a laceration to his hand in the process.
The victim was transported to the hospital in good condition.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Charges are pending.
Police did not reveal what the men were arguing about. An investigation is ongoing.
