(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Some families are trying to beat inflation at the drive-thru.
Prices are going up, and so is foot traffic at fast-food chains.
A big winner is Chicago-based McDonald’s, according to new research from the firm Placer AI.
Head of Analytical Research RJ Hottovy tells WBBM Newsradio that visits to the fast-food giant are up 5.5%, compared to April 2019.
He said fast-food foot traffic ebbs and flows with COVID case counts.
