
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police issued a community alert after three churches were burglarized on the city's South Side.
Police said in each burglary, two men would damage a rear door or window in order to gain entry into the church. The three incidents took place in October and November.
The first burglary took place on East 69th Street between Indiana and Prairie Avenues in late October. Police believe the incident happened between Oct. 23 – 27.
Police said the second burglary took place on West Marquette Road near South Perry Avenue on Oct. 28 around 8:30 a.m.
The third incident happened on East 69th Street between Indiana and Prairie Avenues on Nov. 4 at 8:43 p.m.
Police said suspects were driving a maroon Chevy SUV. No information was released about how much, or what, was stolen.
