None injured, multiple cars burned in West Loop parking garage blaze, CFD says

CHICAGO — No one was injured when a parking garage caught fire Tuesday afternoon on the Near West Side, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

About 3:45 p.m., firefighters responded to a call of fire at a parking garage of an apartment building in the 700 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Multiple cars were said to be damaged in the blaze, fire officials said. They added that there was no count on the number of cars that were "burned up." The cause of the blaze was not known.
