A jewelry store was robbed Wednesday afternoon in Uptown.
About 2:40 p.m. a man, age unknown, entered Heng Heng Jewelry on Argyle near Winthrop and asked to see a piece of jewelry before attempting to flee the store, Chicago police said.
Locked inside the store, the man pulled out a gun and shot at the door, shattering the glass before taking off, police said.
No injuries were reported. No one was in custody.
