Oak Lawn Police looking for team of burglars in Tuesday's home invasion

Oak Lawn Police are hoping security video may help them identify four people involved in a home invasion that terrified an elderly woman on Tuesday evening.

They were pretending to sell candy, a woman and three men. And, police say, that’s how they got the 70-year-old woman to open her door at 105th Place, near Kenton Avenue. They pushed in and committed an armed burglary.

“They’re stupid, all these houses have cameras,” neighbor Mary Ann Miller said of the suspects.

Cameras captured them.  The images we’ve seen are not clear enough to show their faces. But there may be better ones.

Tony Panatera is another neighbor.

“People come up with ways of doing things and some people are evil, Panataera noted to CBS 2.

Police say the suspects, a woman and three men, were driving a white Kia Optima. The woman targeted was injured  and shaken up but will be okay.

“You couldn’t find nicer people, the sweetest people, '' Miller added to CBS 2.
