CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police said they believe the same group may be responsible for at least a dozen armed robberies on the city’s West and Northwest Sides.

Officials said the holdups happened between 5:30 – 7 a.m. on Saturday and Monday.

Three to five men would get out of a car, approach victims and rob them at gunpoint. Minutes later, police think they did the same thing as they allegedly committed six stickups on Saturday morning and six more on Monday,

The armed robberies took place in the Humboldt Park, Logan Square, East Garfield Park, West Humboldt Park and Little Village neighborhoods.

Police said the suspects had been traveling in a black Kia SUV with Florida license plates.
