Gunman fatally shoots 2 men in separate incidents in Logan Square

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are trying to find the person who shot and killed two people in separate locations overnight in the Logan Square neighborhood.

According to Chicago police, the first attack occurred at about 1 a.m. when a 25-year-old man sitting at a bus stop in the 3900 block of West Fullerton Avenue got into an argument with another man.

The 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name hasn’t been released.

The gunman fled on foot, three blocks away, to the 2300 block of North Keystone Avenue, where he attempted to take a 41-year-old man’s car, police said. During a struggle, the gunman shot the man in the chest and took off in the car.

The 41-year-old man was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. He hasn’t been identified.

There is no description of the stolen vehicle available at this time. No one in custody. Area Five detectives are investigating.
