One woman killed, another wounded in Little Village shooting

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) --A woman was killed and another was wounded Wednesday night in a shooting in Little Village on the West Side.

The women, 24 and 22, were standing outside in the 2700 block of South Homan Avenue when they were shot about 8:20 p.m., Chicago police said.

The younger woman was shot multiple times in the torso and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her name hasn’t been released.

The older woman was struck in the buttocks and abdomen and was also taken to Mount Sinai, officials said. She was listed in good condition.

No one was in custody.
