(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Go Fund Me for a local early childhood teacher who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run has raised $10,000 so far.
The goal is to raise at least $25,000 for Fanar Hanna, who is still recovering after being struck by a car earlier this month while she was walking to work.
A colleague at the Jefferson Park school where Hanna works started the fundraising drive and has updated her friend’s condition. Hanna has undergone surgeries for her broken bones and suffered head trauma. Physical therapy will be necessary when she is released.
It may be months before Hanna can return to work.
