There was a lot of instant love at PAWS Chicago's Angels with Tails adoption event in dozens of stores in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood.
It was the first time the event has happened since before the pandemic.
“It’s amazing, isn’t it?" said Paula Fassaes, the founder and chair of PAWS Chicago. "We’re so happy to be back on Oak Street, to be all around the Gold Coast and adopting out dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies.”
The event featured dozens of dogs and cats up for adoption, and Fassaes was hopeful that all of them would find their forever home Sunday afternoon.
“We’ve brought well over 50 animals, and we have three other shelters that have brought animals,” Fassaes said.
