PLAINFIELD (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - School bus drivers in Plainfield are threatening to strike.
Parents in suburban Plainfield with children in District 202 schools received a warning over the weekend- be ready to find another way to get your child to the classroom.
The district sent out a notice that said bus drivers are threatening to strike, or stage a work stoppage tomorrow, Tuesday.
The district said this would affect regular education transportation only. Special education riders would not be impacted.
Today is an off-day in District 202, a school improvement day, so there is no school for students.
One year ago, the district had struggled to find enough school bus drivers to meet its needs.
