
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A police pursuit early this Saturday after shots fired ends in a crash on Chicago’s Southwest side.
Chicago police said they started following a white Dodge Charger near 32nd and Wood streets after officers saw someone from the car fire shots around 1 a.m.
During the mile and a half long pursuit, police said the 24-year-old driver hit several unoccupied parked cars and a Mercedes near 21st Street and Ashland Avenue.
Paramedics took the 19-year-old driver of the Mercedes to the hospital with cuts to his face and body. The driver of the Charger broke his femur and a passenger suffered bruises to her face. They were also hospitalized.
Police said they took all four people in the Charger into custody and expect charges though no one was hit by the bullets.
