CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police have issued a community alert as officers search for a suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Police said the assault happened around 3:30 a.m. on July 8 on the 1900 block of N. Sheffield Avenue.
The victim was entering a residence vestibule when a man entered behind her and sexually assaulted her, according to police. He then fled the area.
The suspect is described as having a thin build and between 25-30 years old. He was wearing a black shirt with drawstring pants that are multi-colored.
