Police seek suspects in crimes that happened on or near CTA Red Line stations Wednesday

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Chicago police are looking for suspects in crimes that occurred on or near the CTA Red Line on North and South Sides Wednesday night.

Chicago police said someone in a dark-colored car opened fire on three people who were standing on a sidewalk near the CTA Red Line’s Howard station.

The victims included a 31-year old woman who was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition and a 30-year-old woman and a 28-year old man who were less-seriously wounded.

Meanwhile, a 28-year old man called police when he got to the Red Line’s Roosevelt Road stop, saying he’d been robbed at gunpoint on the train at 47th Street. Police said the man reported his smartphone was taken.
