CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Democratic Congressman Brad Schneider often works with Republicans on some legislation but says he refuses to work with any legislator who won't accept that Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election.
The North Shore representative prides himself on being a Democrat who is able to work across the aisle. For example, he and downstate Republican Congressman Darin LaHood are working on legislation to encourage freight rail car manufacturing in the U.S.
But he said he will not work with any Republicans who insist Democrat Biden did not win the election. Yes, it comes up, he said Thursday.
Schneider said he has to draw the line somewhere. Republicans who keep telling what he calls “The Big Lie” are not his partners, he said.
