A second person has been charged with murder in connection with the April 18 fatal shooting of a 7-year-old girl at a fast-food restaurant.
Chicago police on Tuesday announced Demond Goudy, 21, has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. He was expected to appear in bond court Wednesday.
His arrest follows the police shooting and apprehension of 18-year-old Marion Lewis last week on the Eisenhower Expressway.
Both men, authorities allege, were involved in the death of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams, who was killed at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Homan Square. Her father was injured in the ambush-style shooting.
Police have not said who they believe fired the fatal shots.
Goudy was taken into custody Monday evening with the assistance of a SWAT team, police said. No additional information was immediately available.
