Police response

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police said shots were fired at police as they responded to a domestic call Wednesday night on the Southeast Side.

Officers were called to the 7100 block of South Yates Avenue in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood at about 7:30 p.m. for a domestic situation and found a woman in a gangway between two buildings, police said.

While talking with her, police said a man involved in the domestic incident fired shots at them from a second-story window.

Police did not return fire, but went after the man who was trying to get away out a back door.

The man was arrested and taken into custody, according to police.

No one was injured.
