It happened at 51st and Western Avenue before 7 a.m. According to the Chicago Fire Department, a “pin-in response” was needed with six people suffering injuries.
Two people were listed in critical condition, with one being transported to Stroger Hospital and another sent to University of Chicago Medical Center. Fire said three people were in good condition, two of whom went to Holy Cross Hospital and the third to St. Bernard Hospital. One person refused treatment at the scene.
