CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Another batch of heavy rain is expected for the Chicago area this morning.
After overnight thunderstorms resulted in torrential downpours, a new wave of storms will roll through the area in the next few hours.
Rain and embedded storms will continue throughout the morning, the National Weather Service said. Claps of thunder and a few lightning strikes are possible. There will also periodically be gusty winds.
Already 1 inch of rain has fallen at O’Hare Airport, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A few showers might linger in the afternoon, but, AccuWeather says, we will dry out and become colder tonight.
