6 injured after speeding stolen car causes SUV to slam into Far South Side house: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A crash involving a stolen car sent a sport-utility vehicle into a home Tuesday evening in the West Pullman neighborhood, setting a fire.

Video from a security camera captured the impact.

A Kia that police said had been stolen was speeding and ran a stop sign at 116th and Racine and slammed into an SUV, sending the SUV into a home.

It burst into flames and set the house on fire. It was quickly put out.

Willie Winters lives in the home. She told CBS-2 she was at the grocery store when her security company called. She rushed home.

"I left everything at Jewel, and when I came down the street, parked my car, and I looked, and I'm like,'Oh my God! My house is on fire, and there's a truck in my yard!'" Winters said.

She said she could have been on the couch where the impact was.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged. And, the fire department said none of the six people involved has life-threatening injuries.

A police officer was seen chasing someone who ran from the Kia.
