(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — DuPage County authorities say the stabbing death of a man outside an Elmhurst bar Saturday has now led to charges.
Police say 55-year-old Ronald Dunbar of Lombard got into an altercation with Karl Bomba and a third person outside the Spring Inn.
Police said it escalated, with Dunbar stabbing Bomba in the chest with a pocketknife.
Dunbar volunteered to go to the police station to be questioned and was later arrested and charged with murder, police said.
He is being held in DuPage County Jail on $500,000 bond.
