Teen boys shot in Little Village and West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two 15-year-old boys were shot early Sunday morning in Chicago.

One boy was shot and wounded about 12:20 a.m. while standing on the front steps of a home in the 4000 block of West Jackson Boulevard when someone in a black vehicle fired shots, Chicago police said.

The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg and was transported to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

About two hours later, another 15-year-old boy was standing on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of West 25th Street when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Chicago police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said.

In both incidents, no one has been taken into custody and Area Four detectives are investigating.
