CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police say a teenager who was wounded by gunfire on the north side early this morning is not cooperating but a witness provided some information.
A witness who, police said, was anonymous, said there was a black Infinity truck and a red sedan driving west on Irving Park Road near California Avenue at about 3 a.m.
There were multiple gunshots. People in the vehicles were firing at each other. Shell casings were seen on the ground at a Shell station.
Police said the red sedan dropped off a 17-year-old male at Swedish Covenant Hospital. He had a graze wound to the head.
He was in good condition and wasn’t talking.
“The victim was being very uncooperative with police about the incident and refused to answer any questions," police said in a statement.
