Texas man faces multiple charges following road rage incident in Barrington Township

BARRINGTON TWP., Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Texas man is behind bars following a road rage incident in Barrington Township Tuesday.

Farid Sagidov, 40 of Quitman, Texas was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct/bodily harm and battery, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.

An officer on patrol saw Sagidov punch another man in the 1200 block of South Northwest Highway at around 3:50 p.m. on Aug. 30.

The officer learned that Sagidov did not allow the 49-year-old victim, who was on a motorcycle to merge in front of his pickup truck.

After her was taken into custody, a search of Sagidov's vehicle led police to find a firearm with a loaded magazine, two additional loaded magazines, and two knives.

Sagidov does not have a Firearm Owners Identification card or a concealed carry license.
