Police said the boy was discovered on a bus in the 8300 block of South Exchange Avenue at about 9 p.m. on Saturday. The infant was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.

A suspect, meanwhile, was taken into custody, and police said further investigation revealed that the suspect left another child — a 4-year-old boy — was also left alone in a residence in the 400 block of West 72nd Street.

The 4-year-old was also taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition.

Both kids were released into the care of family members, and charges are expected against the person in custody.
