(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It is one of Chicago’s most notorious missing persons cases: the disappearance 21 years ago of the two Bradley sisters. Now, the family is hoping a true crime show will bring in more tips.

The show is “In Pursuit with John Walsh” on Investigation Discovery, airing Wednesday night.

The disappearance of Diamond and Tionda Bradley in the summer of 2001 has been featured on several shows through the years. The girls’ great aunt, Shelia Bradley-Smith, says the show that John Walsh created, “America’s Most Wanted,” was one of the first to tell their story.

Bradley-Smith says Walsh’s continued interest shows not everybody has given up hope.

“Even though it’s been 20 years, it might be someone who’s 20 years older who just might decide, ‘It’s time for me to call that tip in,’” she says. “And I am so hopeful that it will bring something.”

Tionda Bradley would be 31 now. Diamond would be 24.

John Walsh became a victims-rights advocate after his six-year-old son Adam was abducted and murdered in 1981.
