CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy have been charged in connection to multiple carjackings and robberies that took place Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

Police said the boys were identified as two of the people who committed the carjacking on the 2100 block of North Whipple Street about 6 a.m.

After that, officials said the crime spree continued with another carjacking about 15 minutes later, which was then followed by an attempted robbery — and then two more robberies after that.

It all happened in about 30 minutes.

Chicago police said the pair were arrested around 11 a.m. in Garfield Park.

The names of the teens have not been released.
