
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two teenagers were shot last night near Mount Carmel High School just after a football game.
The teenagers were shot near 63rd and Blackstone at about 10:15 p.m. about 30 minutes after Mount Carmel beat Morgan Park.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. A 16-year-old girl had a gunshot wound to a foot.
She was also treated at Comer Children's Hospital. A witness spoke to CBS 2.
"We heard what we perceived as gunshots. Everyone turned around ran back through the football field," she said.
Two males believed to have been involved were seen running from the area.
