CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — One week after early voting opened for the 2022 Illinois midterm election, more than 131,000 Chicagoans have reportedly already cast their ballots.
In Chicago, each of the city’s 50 wards has at least one polling location. To find the one closest to you, simply visit the state’s polling place lookup webpage and enter your zip code and street address.
Chicagoans don’t have to vote at the polling location closest to them, though: Any city resident may vote at any Chicago polling location.
Illinois polling sites do offer same-day voter registration. Voters only need to bring two forms of identification, one of which has to have your current address.
State residents may vote in the election until 7 p.m. on Nov. 8, when the polls close across the state.
