CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The search goes on for the person or people involved in a shooting that wounded a woman during the middle of Wednesday afternoon on the North Side.
Police said the woman was taken to Swedish Hospital in critical condition. She had been shot in the chest while in the backyard of a home in the 2400 block of West Eastwood in the Ravenswood community. The shooting happened before 3 p.m.
One neighbor told Channel 7 a man with a long gun was involved in a shootout with two other men in the alley. At least one weapon was reportedly found by police.
