CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 37-year-old woman was killed in a crash with a car involved in a shootout early Sunday morning in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood.
Chicago police said people inside a Toyota Camry and a black sedan were shooting at each other as they drove west on Irving Park Road from Damen Avenue at around 3 a.m.
The Camry hit a Nissan Rogue near Western Avenue, ejecting a 37-year-old woman who was a passenger.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital while the 27-year-old male driver was taken for observation with injuries not considered serious.
Police said people in the Camry ran from the scene and have not been caught while the other car kept driving.
