Not since the Hamburglar has a thief taken his profession so darned literally.
Police in Connecticut are on the lookout for a cat burglar who snuck into a hotel room and actually stole a cat.
The break-in occurred Sunday in Shelton, Conn., at the Hilton Garden Inn. Police say a pair of expensive bags – one Gucci, one Fendi – were taken along with the occupant’s hairless cat Princess.
The total value of the items stolen, including the follicly-challenged feline, was $8,500, according to the Shelton Police Department.
The room showed no signs of forced entry.
Investigators say they have photos of a possible suspect as well as the vehicle believed to be used in the robbery. However, so far their search has come up empty.
