As if flying needed to be worse, Southwest Airlines customers were met with numerous cancelations across the country on Saturday and Sunday.

In a Facebook post, the airline shared that air traffic control issues and disruptive weather resulted in flights being canceled across the U.S.
The customers who were affected by the cancelations were asked to rebook their flights on the airline's website.
The airline had announced on Monday that employees must get the COVID-19 vaccine by Dec. 8. However, it is not clear whether or not the mandate has contributed to the cancelations.
A press release from the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association shared that they are aware of the issues.
"SWAPA is aware of operational difficulties affecting Southwest Airlines today due to a number of issues, but we can say with confidence that our Pilots are not participating in any official or unofficial job actions," the press release said.
Southwest Airlines is the only airline that has experienced a high volume of cancelations this weekend.
