Rattlesnakes have reputation for being fast and agile which is just one of the things that give many people the creeps. But there's video of a very slow rattler in New Mexico that's going viral.
The reason the snake is so slow is that it looks like he's had a very recent, very large meal.
The snake slithering slowly in the New Mexico desert has a quite noticeable bulge in his mid-section as he's evidently digesting his prey.
In the video, one of the handlers trying to catch him comments "I don't think he can get at us even if he tried."
The handlers were called in when someone spotted the snake under a portable classroom at an elementary school. School staffers contained him in a trash can until help could arrive.
The rattler was relocated to a safe place.
