Rather than frustratingly try to capture the majesty of fireworks on July 4, one TikTok-er, @Spicymexicanbean, instead focused on her adorable little dog, Gordo, playing around with some butterflies.
We’re pretty sure it’s already been entered into Webster’s Dictionary under “super cute.”
As Gordo is wandering in the yard, he notices two butterflies flitting around his head. He immediately drops his tennis ball and quickly looks over at the colorful insects. But a fleeting thought of chomping at them instantly turns into cute quizzical looks and squinty fascination from the puppy.
One butterfly lands on his snout, and Gordo slowly dips his head down to let the insect off, and the two continue to float around the dog as he watches in delight.
Clips like this don’t just go viral, they become iconic. It has already garnered over 5.5 million likes and 70k comments -- and increasing faster than the speed of a butterfly’s wings.
“Aaaand I started crying, such a beautiful gentle puppy. Thanks for sharing!” said one commenter.
And another: “Oh my gosh… the most beautiful majestic moment ever. Just pure angelic sweet love!”
There were a few funny ones, like, “There’s no way this isn’t a new ‘Nintendogs’ ad. It’s just too perfect.”
But the clip so succinctly captures a beautiful moment of natural synchronicity, that most commentators were simply awed, like this one: “This is literally the most beautiful video in the world.”
