A woman in Nevada broke into a dentist’s office, stole cash, and pulled out 13 teeth from a patient who was unconscious on two separate occasions, according to reports.

Police allege that Laurel Elch, who does not practice dentistry, broke into the office and claimed that she used to work there.

On May 3, Elch allegedly broke in and stole $22,861 in cash and checks. She then told detectives that she took 13 teeth from an unconscious patient on a different date.

Elch was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count each of conspiracy to commit burglary, grand larceny, and conspiracy to perform surgery on another without a medical license.

The Daily Mail reported that Elch allegedly stole the teeth from the unconscious patient “on her own time.”
